What's the newest, biggest thing to hit the Florida Keys? How about the 300 ton 520 foot long USS Vandenberg. The word from Key West city commissioner Bill Verge is they are bringing her down in late December and scheduled for sinking February 2009. The USS Vandenberg was used in the filming of the movie Virus; it's the same one.The M/V Kate will be there and our divers will be some of the first to see her on the bottom. The Blue Iguana Team will be  monitoring the schedule of the sinking and will forward this event along to you.
